I have been losing memory of mundane tasks?

this is the second time I have suffered from this in the past few months.....For the past 3 days I put a task in my head and then the next thing I remember I sort of come to starting the task. Example I think I need to go stir dinner and then next thing I am aware of i am standing in the kitchen holding a spoon. It is quite alarming to bounce through my day forgetting all the in between bits immediately. As I said this is the second time I have gone through this the last time it was 3 days. My doctor says depression and stress. This time though it started the day after I got back from vacation I was well rested and feeling awesome still do except for the new stress of my concerns for my memory. Hello everyone, I just ask that everyone keep an open mind. So the question is, does harboring dark (not necessarily evil) energy and sinning cause you to be a stronger being in this material world? Ever hear the expression "nice guys finish last"? It almost makes sense if you think about it. You need to be assertive and show personal power in order to get what you want whether it is a job, women, or respect from the general public. Im sorry to say this but nobody takes the "nice guy" as a serious force to be reckoned with. Plus there's no strength in being a nice guy who loses the job, girl to the next guy. It seems as if all of humanity is attracted to the so called darker side people. Here's where I pull in some of my own beleifs...If anyone has ever looked into Hinduism, you will know that there are 3 modes of nature. Ignorance, passion, and goodness, (and of course the transcendental form but Im focusing on earthly nature). Most people on earth are in either the mode of ignorance or the mode of passion. The mode of ignorance are the fools in this world as you all probably would have assumed. They cannot do anything good for themselves and suffer from madness, delusions, hopeless drug addictions. Basically the "sloppy ones" in the life who don't have anything together. The man in passion however, is a hardworking being working endlessly for results of his efforts. He is what a person on earth should be. This state is of conditional love, passion, and other earthly senses. The mode of goodness I cannot exactly describe too well, I'd say it is based around unconditional love, selflessness, and happiness. Unfortunalty, very few people are truely in this state of being. We all have desires and many are seen as sins or sinfull, but to us it's all in the "norm". The beings in passion are said to worship the demons whether we know this or not. It makes sense with all the hate, discrimination, ect... that are actively in play. However this seems so normal to many people. Examples such as this person doesn't deserve my love or respect because he is a selfish person, or a scheming rat or a leech or a heartbreaker, you get the picture...We don't like certain people and it is natural to show this dislike in unique ways. If there not with us, there against us. So wouldn't it make sense, if we are already worshiping demons unconsciously, acting in "dark"(earthly) ways, to focus our energy on Satan? Maybe not Satan as a entity, but as the personal energy (Kundalini, the serpent sleeping in our Root Chakras) inside of us? The energy to realize our full potential, to strengthen us, to rise above mediocracy, above the sheep? Why wouldn't we want to thive as our own? If we direct our focus to the source, wouldn't we thrive and become even more powerful than ever. Powerfull as in mentally, emotionally, phiscally, spiritualy, all with responsiblity of course. There is no evil only the way of the mundane, and too be honset im thinking that I'd rather be a leader than a blind sheep in the mold of the world. Someone who knows what's going on, what people want. Someone with an extraordinary sense of intellect. Unconditional love and bliss is a pleasant thought in my mind and I wish the world were filled with both but, it's just not how the world works. So with this said, does "dark", earthly energy from fulfilling desires(sins) help you or should we lead a life in pursuit of GOD and risk being in mediocrity, unfulfillment, and total ignorance of our potential? My 11b 14-week OSUT starts(ship late August) on 9-05-11.Wondering if I will be back before Christmas exodus?

I have already looked at it on the calender and I am borderline, but should be good. Reason I am wondering is because I must be back in school by January so I can contract ROTC and be a SMP cadet. Since time is critical, was mainly wondering if there is anything random that would hold me over late, even if it's a couple of days. For example reception lasting longer than planned, a day off for Thanksgiving or whatever. (ship 8-22, official start date of basic says 9-5 in contract)

What are these dreams called?

So, when I was 11 I had these dreams for about a month straight, every night to the point where I wouldn't sleep for days because I was so scared of them. There's really no way to explain them, but... OK, so when I fall asleep, I heard a strange noise, like complete silence but with sort of nails against chalkboard, like my ears are going to burst. Then, I open my eyes in the dream, and I'm usually laying excactly where I fell asleep. Sometime's I'll see a scary tall shadow standing at the foot of my bed, and sometimes I'll see nothing but feel like someone going to pop out and stab me. ._. I can't move in these dreams, not at all. I've tried moving, but it hurts and it's pretty much impossible. My parents tell me I talk in these dreams and make moaning noises, and I always wake up with my heart racing and one time I woke up and couldn't breathe and almost had to be rushed to the E.R. In these dreams, I feel like I can barely breath. I try to breath regular, but I can't. It's so hard. I try to just close my eyes and drift into another sleep in these dreams, but the irritating noise and odd feeling in the atmosphere in the dream always deter me. I'm 13 and I'm starting to get these dreams again. I can wake up voluntarily from these dreams by squeezing my eyes as tight as I can in the dream and then opening them. When I was 11, I remember reading something about these dreams, a wife writing about her husband always having the same types of dreams I'm having. He couldn't move in the dream, he was scared in the dream, and he woke up with a fast heart and sometimes couldn't breath. These dreams are extremely scary... you can't feel what I'm talking about unless you have one. It's one of the scariest things ever. It feels like your a tiny rabbit with starving wolves behind every tree while you're in a forest. I'm so scared of them, but I try to think of other things before I fall into sleep but they always pop up. I have always had the weirdest dreams, but these are just plain odd and scary. Help?

I think hate would be a strong word for me, because if someone said a book was beyond good I would probably give it a shot no matter what. I get "lost in my head"...Is this normal ?

I daydream...a lot. Constantly. Sometimes when I'm talking to someone I just ramble on about mundane things to appear social and normal but in the back of my mind I'm still daydreaming. I'm just telling myself what to do...like " laugh, smile, say yes, make a joke" It's hard to explain. I get exhausted when I'm with people for too long and try and blow off going out with people. I told some of my friends I had work today so I wouldn't have to go out with them. I have like another life (or several) in my head and I talk to people I've made up and they talk back, or I go to strange places etc. Sometimes I'm like how I am in real life...other times I'm completely different...different personality, different age, different gender etc. I tend to think a lot about random stuff but a lot of my daydreams are kind of darker...like a lot of my dreams and daydreams involve suicide and other things. Sometimes I can't remember if a memory was real or imagined sometimes I forget that I'm actually daydreaming. I also get sleep paralysis...which is pretty scary but I don't think that has much to do with it. I'm 16 and female, and I'm not sure if it's a teenager thing or if I'm just really odd...Is it normal ?

Joining military to pay for college?

I'm looking into joining the military to pay for college. I used to be in AFROTC, but I quit because they said I wouldn't get a scholarship with there being too many people in the program. I thought I'd be a "minority" being a woman of Latin American heritage as a US Citizen... Anyways... So, I applied for an Army ROTC scholarship, but was not given one due to budget cuts in the US military as military scholarship availability were cut; I did qualify for a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship, though. I'm willing to do almost anything, even enlist... but I want to be able to continue my education continuously, without taking a significant amount of time (more than 3 months) off from college. I'm on the pre-med track, if that means anything... So.. what would be my best bet? My preference for military is: 1- Air Force, 2- Army, 3- Navy, 4- Coast Guard, 5- Marines.

I have always wanted to be a marine (for as long as i can remember) and i was planning on going to school to do NROTC MARINE OPTION, but unfortunately the university I will be attending doesn't offer NROTC. Ok so I am sure I want to join the military and become an officer. I was called today by a recruiter who was telling me about using ROTC and reserve in conjunction. Although to me it doesn't make sense that I would need money if I had an ROTC scholarships. I am 20, so I'm quite young. I know I am weird. People have told me that I am a hippy, that I think like one. I know I do not think like everyone else. I think and contemplate a lot about life. Trouble motivating myself - need advice?

Turn off everything that can distract you or keeps you from doing your work, and pretend you can't turn it on, or that its broken, so all that you have left to do is do your work. And when you feel you've done a really good amount of work so far, take a break to stretch or do something that is fun, no longer than 15 minutes, and get back to work. Also you can use this "fun thing" as a reward for working so hard. Also, keep in mind that once you're done with these tasks, you can do whatever you want now that its done. And once its finished, you'll feel good too. Really, all you need to start yourself off is say you have to, and then do it. I do this to myself all the time and it helps me. So I hope it works for you too.

Should i attend college after serving as a Green Beret?

HELP!!!!!!! :( 16 year old girl and have lost 20 pounds unintentionally!! Was already underweight!! :(?

Hey guys! I am 16 years old (5' 4) , and just over a month ago I weighed 120 pounds. I was at a pretty healthy weight, and all of the sudden, two weeks later i weighed, and I was 107, and it has just kept dropping and dropping ever since! Now I am down to 99.5! :( I am really scared. Like really. :( Somebody told me that losing weight is a sign of cancer and I am terrified. My mama had cancer 3 years ago, and it was the worst thing I have ever seen anyone go through. It was so scary. :( Anyways, yeah, I have been eating EXACTLY the same as I ever have! Not trying to lose any weight, I have been eating until I am full. I actually went to the doctors, and she evaluated me. She did the tremor test for Hyperthyroidism and everything, and she was almost POSITIVE it was hyperthyroidism. They did a blood test, and it came back negative. So, I don't know what to think! Now, she has made me keep a food journal for two weeks (I will be done in a day) and I have to go back for another check-up! I haven't had very many symptoms. I am just kinda shaky all the time, cold, and constipated (sorry guys! Tmi!). This is really kind of scary for me, so anything you guys can do to help, would be great! Thank you SO much!!!!

Okay. So about a month and a half ago I bought 2 grams of blue dream weed from a friend. I smoked it a few times and I loved it. So then one day I had a baseball game and i got mad at my dad who is a coach and I threatened to not go to the game if he didn't do something and he didn't so he left and I stayed home. I was extremely mad at him so I decided to smoke some of my blue dream. I rolled a joint and smoked it. It was a pretty decent size and I took probably 15-20 decent rips which is a lot. I walked inside and was doing homework and then it kicked in. I went outside and it felt like I was dead literally. I was tweaking so bad so I called a friend and he came over. When he was on his way I went inside. I started to walk up my stairs and I saw an un-describable picture in my head. I kept walking and all of the sudden everything went blurry and super fast motion and I laid down. I couldn't control anything - what I was doing, saying, etc. I kept seeing pictures in my head and also numbers. It looked like it was a movie in front of me and i can only describe it as it looked like my childhood for some reason. My eyes would just look at a few things and then fixate on a random thing. It was the scariest thing I have every experienced in my life. I can't really explain it anymore. So anyway, a few nights ago I snuck out with my friend, his girlfriend, and also a friend who is a girl. So we were on a golf course and we decided to go somewhere else so we all stood up but I was a little behind. I popped a piece if mentos gum into my mouth. I few seconds after my mouth and throat went as dry as they've ever been. I tried to scream to them but i couldn't out get anything out. I leaned over and tried to talk. One of my friends turned around and said dude are you okay. I couldn't talk still. It lasted for about 15 seconds if no breathing. But while I was "choking" I saw the same things I saw when I tripped really bad and that was over a month ago. My eyes fixated on things the same way as before. So then I told my friends what happened. I told my guy friend about the incident that happened because he smokes weed too. We decided to go into one of my friends car and just sleep. Then when I woke up me my friend went home. So now it has been a few days and sometimes I feel like life is fake. It feels like a dream and everytime I think about life not being real I totally zone out. I feel high all of the time. I eat a lot, and enshrine I start talking to someone I forget what I am saying. And when I do something I don't remember what I am doing. I have a terrible memory now. absolutely terrible. And like I said before, if I ask the question to myself, "is life real" I feel like I am in a dream and everything is fake. I just want to go back to normal like. Please help me!!! Also keep in mind that I haven't smoked weed for 13 days because I got caught. Please help!

Work out and gain the ability to do many pushups (again check the requirements) but also aim higher than what is expected. Endurance is also important in running. hmm...maybe your mom is goingg through menopause? it happens some times and it sucks i never had to go through it since my parents split and i was never really with my mom but a lot of my friends have gone through it. They'd tell me it'd get so bad they couldn't stand being in the same room together. A few major symptoms of menopause are mood swings and irratability. Even if it's not menopause you should have a sit down with your mother and ask why she's acting the way she is. Talking about problems is very helpful. If all else fails plan your next summer somewhere else lol.

US Army and College question?

For a while now I have been looking into joining the Army. But I know that in today's world you cannot get a six figure job without a college education. I was thinking about ROTC but being an enlisted you have so many more opportunities in the Army. Officers do not get that much time in the field before they get to Major and have to essentially stay in an FOB while everybody else goes out. I'm not some 14 year old who plays COD too much and thinks it will be like that but I don't want a desk job. ROTC seems like the only way for me to pay for college and go to college before joing teh Army. Am I wrong, would there be a way for the US Army to pay for my college and when I was finished I would enlist and if I didnt like the enlisted life I would go to OCS?

I want to be a fighter pilot in the air force. However the odds seem to be stacked pretty high against me. I graduated with a 2.9 gpa in business administration. HPSP Army Scholarship?

I am a high school student looking at becoming a physician. The army offers the HPSP scholarship that, from what I can see, pays for medical school in exchange for X amount of years of service in the army (depends on how many years you get the scholarship for). My question is this: do you have to go the ROTC route in undergrad to be considered for this scholarship? If so, would you be able to complete undergrad and med school before being on active duty?

just waiting on cut between lower abs. I do (for the past 3 weeks or so) cardio (3 miles and 1 mile after workout in afternoon) and work out both 5-6 days a week. I have a question about joining the army then reenlisting?

I'm fixing to join the army 21B, and I got airborne school in my contract. I was wondering if after my 4 years if I leave the army and go to college and do rotc will i be able to reenlist but as an officer? on most days all i want to do is drugs. i've abstained for over 2 years, but its never over. i feel akward in the sober state... pretty much just very supressed emotion while sober and when i drink, pop, snort, inject, etc. its like my being can finally breathe. i am a fish out of water while sober. things are just so pitifully mundane. its not like i just sit at home and watch t.v. either. How can I decide what to master in college?

Theres not alot of option in Oklahoma unless I want to be a welder or a nurse. And neither are of enough interest for me to pursue a life long career in. I've considered web development, which is a promising hire rate but I can see will become boring mundane, eye straining job or getting a psychology degree, which holds great interest but holds little promise in hiring. Plus I need to stick to classes I can only do online because I am a stay-at-home-mom. Alright, I do not dislike my life as-is but I don't think I'm getting all that I can from it. I attempted suicide at 16 years old and was admitted into a "behavioral health" hospital (it was a locked psych hospital called Foundations Behavioral Health Hospital") and was an out-patient at Horsham Clinic. I am on Lexapro as an anti-depressant and Concerta for ADHD. It is possible I am bi-polar (not yet diagnosed, in the process of talking to therapist and psychiatrist. Trouble motivating myself - need advice?

It is a very difficult position and it is very brave of you to admit that even being a mentor yourself you need advice...it is simply an example that teachers, counselors, any kind of workers are humans as anyone else and that we also need motivation to get through tough times. I see you have a tough schedule, but what motivates me when I am drowned with work is to think that this is temporary, that whatever I have to do for next week or next month, will be a temporary state of stress and anxiety, but that through hard work, I will get there, and the day will come when I can rest, when I finish all the work and I can simply rest my mind, my body and soul. Just imagine yourself out of the stress and out of the hard work and make that your motivation. You will get through this and it will be your own personal challenge to get to that day when you can finally say: I DID IT, and I am proud of having done it all by myself...Good luck! Believe in your potential, remember that the laziness can also be a temporary state, get out of the couch and make it happen! What kind of pack should i get?

I keep having end of the world-type dreams. The other night I had one about an alien invasion and trying to save myself and the people around me. It was so realistic it was scary. I also had a dream before that my town had a massive flood and there was a secret government that you had to beg to keep alive. I just keep having Random dreams about the world coming to an end. I wonder is this a preminition or what? Btw, I have had dreams come true before. Usually months after I've had them. I dunno, any thoughts?

Imagination: Good or Bad?

I have a slight problem. Actually, I don't know if this is a problem. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always loved fantasy and later on the entirety of the fantasy genre. In 5th grade I tried writing a cute two page story. Now I am in 9th grade and can write a good 50 something pages. However, when I'm not writing, y imagination takes hold of me. Everything I do to relax (games, anime, books, fantasy) is fuel for my imagination. I've compiled so many morals and have seen such emotion in other people's works that it holds me in a heavenly state. I get so excited, often picturing my own characters in the stories or using the material to help strengthen my own work's spiritual value, accuracy, etc. I put on my favorite bands and use the emotions i the song to daydream. Oh, but I can't be so normal and inanimate with such a rush building. I have to pace, or some other mundane thing. If I had hours I would pace forever. I know people don't usually pace over feels, or at least I don't think they do. I spend(waste) so much time pacing though, that it takes away from my time for finding new things, new stories, etc. There is also the fact that I think something is wrong with me. Is this sort of imagination rush normal? Has anyone else ever done something similar? Also, I want to relax and see new stuff, but I'm afraid if I do I will get myself riled to the point that my pacing will wear me out (to late, it actually has several times) or cause some sort of condition that will affect my schoolwork. It is, to put t simply, like an addiction. Um, what should I do about this? I want to do these things, but not sure if it is the best thing for my health, especially since my heart beats extra-fast for extended periods of time that is not normal compared to other people. Am I shortening my life or something? Basically, is this imagination a good or bad thing, and if bad what do I do about it? Yeah, this was really difficult to explain.

Creative Horse Costume Ideas?

Okay, so I have exactly one week until my big horse show, and I have been training so hard, I completely forgot about the costume class! I need some ideas for a horse/rider costume that are creative (e.g. not like Indian pony, pirate, etc.). I have panic attacks at work!?

Oh man! It really worries me. Because it seriously effects my job. It's the redundancy of my mundane day. I go to work and take calls. I start shaking, shortness of breath, I get jittery, depression sets in. There was a job where I thought of suicide. Co workers usually don't see this I do a great job of hiding it. Except when I stare into space. I feel like the whole world is closing in on me like crushing (I used to have a small case of claustrophobia that I've managed to surpass.) Because of this I haven't been able to keep a job for more then a year at a time. I usually get over the immediate issue by calling in sick but 2 or 3x a week is wrong. I'm 26. ROTC infantry MOS???

After finishing ROTC I want to go into Infantry or MP. After finishing ROTC, I heard that getting into infantry is hard because it is the most popular MOS, and only the top ROTC cadets get the MOS that they want. You don't seem to want to accept the idea that this is manufactured by your mind, but it almost certainly is. I would guess that you had a trauma at an early age, and this vision is a manifestation of that trauma. I would also guess that considering therapy instead of assuming it's some kind of supernatural visitation is going to be considerably more helpful to you in the short term and in the long term. So like 3 years ago, i remember seeing this creepy short show about bugs. They played it during commercials on Disney Channel. It usually came on at night. Rising senior looking for help with college idea.?

I'll be a senior as of this August and I really need some college help. For the last few years I've been planning on doing ROTC in college, getting a Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science, becoming a computer systems specialist, and joining the USAF out of the ROTC program at college. I think the idea of military and technology based majors were pushed on me by my family, but that's a different story. Any how, I realized I really won't be happy being trapped behind a computer for a career. I'm the type who needs some people to people interaction. So I figured I'd do something in the scientific field. I love science and I've always done well in the subject, I think I want to become a pharmacist or a children's physician. Is this too drastic of a change of interest? I don't want to take steps in the wrong direction for the future I want. I used to know exactly what I wanted to do, but now I'm confused and my family isn't backing me up on the pharmaceutical idea. Should I stick with technology or move to science? try going to bed early, for some reason your dreams will often be more vivid. and when having a vivid dream all you have to do is realize your dreaming. for example look for any oddities or things that don't make sense. another way to find out your dreaming is if you are unable to turn on lights. once you figure out your dreaming just go with it and try to hang on to your dream as long as you can before waking up. and i have smoked pot for years to and i still dream.

Plenty of time to sleep but simply cant?

So lately ive been unemployed and able to sleep till i wanna wake up. Problem is i still cant get enough sleep. on average id say ive been getting about 4-5 hours of solid sleep and another hour or two of sleep seperated by tossing and turning. About a week ago i started having sex before sleep and it worked fine i mean cant go wrong. But now even that has not helped my sleep, i just end up horny and tired. I know its not my bed cause ive had it for 2 years and never had any troubles. Other than night-quil and a glass of Jose Quervo Black im outa ideas. Why dont they have RTOC where i live?

Usually areas where there is a large population of middle-lower income families and minorities tend to have JROTC units. This is true in a sense that most of these students will need financial assistance in college tuition and the military will be more willing to help if they serve for 4 years or so.

I would go active duty first - you can't match the experience you will gain on active duty and after your initial commitment you can finish out in the reserves or guard if active doesn't work for your lifestyle.

Have you talked to them about it? They may not realize how you feel. They may be thinking something similar about you. As hard as it may be, ask to sit down and talk as a family. Be respectful and do not let it turn into an argument. Tell them you feel you need to see a counselor if they are not willing to talk or are not willing to be calm and rational about it (it may at least get their attention). Don't give up. Marriage Potential??

He seems to love everything about me and I love everyything about him, even though we have completely different personalities, we still share the same common goals. We give eachother space when necessary but, lately we have become even closer than we were in the beginning. I choose to love him for who he is and he chooses to love me as well. We have excellent communication even though we don't always agree. No matter what we go through I can never chase him away and the same goes for him. We have never not been able to stay out of eachother's lives. Does completing an ROTC program exempt you from Basic?

Completing ROTC gets you a recommendation for commission, so when you enter whatever branch you still have to complete OCS or OTS (denpending on your branch of service) which is the officers version of basic training. The length of each depends on the branch.

I'm sorry to say it, but I think he's just using you. It's quite apparent that he can say all he likes to get into your good books over the internet or texting, but when he meets you in public, he doesn't want to know you. Also, since you were getting with his mate, his mate may have told him what you were like, which then could make this guy assume that you're easy. Therefore, if you do have sex with him, there is a very high possibility that he would never talk to you again afterwards. Also, notice that he only said 'love you' after you said it to him, this indicates that he felt pressured into saying it back and didn't really mean it. Why is does a distant relative in the Nat'l Guard keep getting orders for afghanistan, but always cancel?

orders and re-schedules deployment. (The Guard is cancelling.) He is 26 and has never held a job. Other than ROTC And a summer 2 weeks training he has not done one thing in the military. Our family cannot believe the National Guard took him. He is the type who will go to war, shoot himself in the foot in order to go home cause his soldiers can't stand him. Buddy Sour? or just insecure?

So on sunday my best friend moved her new horse into the barn that I have had my horse at. We've only been there for like 2 months now and so my mare is still at the bottom of the herd. I expected her to be a jerk because when I moved her in all the horses that were at the bottom were jerks to her but they have sorta glommed on to each other. Her mare wont leave mines side no matter what. My mare could really care less. She gets a little distracted when we're riding but over all she is fine with it. The problem is my friends horse will run straight at us(and my friend refuses to believe me when I say she needs a harsher bit) and my friend cant get her to stop until she is right on top of us. again my mare doesn't care, but its really scary. Her horse is scared of just about everything and honestly seems to me like she is really insecure. She wont leave my mares side and when my friend introduces her to new things she is completely freaked and doesn't want to do anything but stand by my mare. Transferring to a better high school but assistant principle won't let me?

If the school is within the district you are living the principle has no right to keep you within their school. The transfer of a child from one school to the next is the parents decision. Initially what the principle is doing holding you back is illegal. I think your family should look into why the principle is refusing transfer or bring it up with the superintendent? I can't give too much information because I don't know the entire situation. Best of luck on the transfer.

Am I a stalker......?

Over the past few years I have obsessed over 3 different guys who were much older than me. 2 of them were my teachers. Person Inside my mind?

When my grandfather wanted to think something over, he'd say, I've got to talk it over with me, myself and I. I'm always second guessing myself, although I don't really think of it as a "voice" in my head, I know it's all me. Life is full of choices and decisions, sometimes we listen to our gut feeling and when things go wrong, we moan "I knew I shouldn't have done whatever, something told me not to". That's just the way we're made, we can actually argue with ourselves.

Did I have a panic attack?

Got in bed last night. Lay down, turned to the side and covered my face with the quilt which I always do. Iclosed my eyes, then suddenly, I sort of felt dizzy and like I was going to be sick. I also felt that if I did not open my eyes, that I was about to die. Not sure why I thought I was going to die. And, of course, I have never died before so could not possibly know what it feels like when you are about to die. However, I really felt like if I kept my eyes shut I was not going to wake up in the morning. It was quite a scary experience to be honest. It happened a few times. Go to this website: flyrotc.com I did the program. It's an army ROTC scholarship where your paid to learn to fly helicopters. You'll branch aviation upon graduation and recieve a commercial pilots license in rotor craft. since you already have your PPL and have contracted with Air Force ROTC you should have little trouble. Better way I belive than enlisting first and hoping to make it through to Warrant officer. Only bad thing is you'll have to go to school in North Dakota...Still its only for four years...then on to Ft. Rucker AL. Any further questions just let me know. Good luck.

Did I overreact when my daughter posted she didn't want to live anymore?

My daughter posted this on Facebook: " What happens when you don't want to live anymore? I'm about there and Its scary." I live 5 states away, and I tried to call and she wouldn't answer. She had came out here on vacation with her family, and left her two girls with us, and I hadn't heard from her since she got home on Sunday. I got her husband and told him what she had posted, and he said he had talked to her and she was upset, and wasn't picking him up from work, he had to find a way home. I told him I thought she needed to go to the emergency room, she's on depression meds. She then called me crying so loudly I couldn't understand what she was saying, but finally got that she thought he was lying and cheating on her. Then she said the police were at the door. They ended up having her call me back so they could talk to me about what was going on, and I told them about her threat. Worst part is my son-in-law is in the Navy, and his Captain brought him home. He had called 911 because of my concern. She had also called my sister, who heard her crying uncontrollably, and his mother. I got a text from him 4 hours later telling me I had overreacted and that I had put his career in jeopardy. She was just having a "cry" day. She called my sister back, but not me. I am not an idiot or an interfering mother. Because of another sister, I've dealt with mental health issues 35 years, but realize I can make a mistake. I need an objective opinion. What should I have done?

Can military dependents check into hotels or lodgings on bases overseas?

i dont' see why not because i was a military dependent and i was able to stay at the dragon hill lodge. i had a friend who made reservations for her and her husband and she was a dependent.

Each woman has her own preference. The media does make the male heroes young and white but that is the media... Most people love luxury cars and would "prefer" to own one but when reality sets in, there are far more choices worthy of our consideration and equally satisfying. Just like luxury cars... Media's white male heroes are great to look and have fantasies about but I know of other options that are just as satisfying if not more :)

ARMY ROTC Scholarship questions?

I am applying for my ROTC scholarship. My main academic major intent is Psychology. Most of the intended schools I have listed offer psychology. However, one of the schools is mostly engineering based. If I should decide to utilize my scholarship (If I get one) at this school (Embry Riddle), can I change my major, or do I have to stick with my "intended" major? Also, is it easier , in a way, to obtain an Army ROTC scholarship, than an NROTC scholarship?

Scared about wisdom teeth removal?

I'm 14 years old, and I just recently went to the Oral Surgeon to see if I needed my Wisdom Teeth removed. I do. I'm actually really scared about this, and I don't wanna go under anesthesia, and I've never had surgery on my mouth before, and I'm just really scared. Why are people scared of ghosts?

Rotc military question?

The 25 year old thing is what is going to get you. You have to be commissioned before your 26th birthday, unless you were prior service, and then you get to have until your 29th birthday. You could always try for a waiver though. Things are getting tougher now that we are going to start a drawdown. Talk to your ROTC recruiter at the college.

Um army infantry?!?!?

So I'm 17 an I'm about to graduate 1 year early and I've wanted to be in the army since I was 3. 0_0 should I join the army like now or I could do army ROTC for 4 years in college and come out as an enlisted officer horah.. lol which I think is smart but I don't really want to wait and please give some real advise don't slam me for not wanting another branch oh and a question for ladies um just curious is a man in uniform cute lol what can I say I'm 17 I kinda like girls :) but yes help with this would be great thanx guys ;D

Men....If when you were separated from your wife....?

and you had a tryst with a women, such as going to dinner and then a no tell motel! You and wife reconciled and only occasionally go out and have fun, your life is mostly mundane with work come home, eat etc....! Hello everyone, I just ask that everyone keep an open mind. So the question is, does harboring dark (not necessarily evil) energy and sinning cause you to be a stronger being in this material world? Ever hear the expression "nice guys finish last"? It almost makes sense if you think about it. You need to be assertive and show personal power in order to get what you want whether it is a job, women, or respect from the general public. Im sorry to say this but nobody takes the "nice guy" as a serious force to be reckoned with. Plus there's no strength in being a nice guy who loses the job, girl to the next guy. It seems as if all of humanity is attracted to the so called darker side people. Here's where I pull in some of my own beleifs...If anyone has ever looked into Hinduism, you will know that there are 3 modes of nature. Ignorance, passion, and goodness, (and of course the transcendental form but Im focusing on earthly nature). Most people on earth are in either the mode of ignorance or the mode of passion. The mode of ignorance are the fools in this world as you all probably would have assumed. They cannot do anything good for themselves and suffer from madness, delusions, hopeless drug addictions. Basically the "sloppy ones" in the life who don't have anything together. The man in passion however, is a hardworking being working endlessly for results of his efforts. He is what a person on earth should be. This state is of conditional love, passion, and other earthly senses. The mode of goodness I cannot exactly describe too well, I'd say it is based around unconditional love, selflessness, and happiness. Unfortunalty, very few people are truely in this state of being. We all have desires and many are seen as sins or sinfull, but to us it's all in the "norm". The beings in passion are said to worship the demons whether we know this or not. It makes sense with all the hate, discrimination, ect... that are actively in play. However this seems so normal to many people. Examples such as this person doesn't deserve my love or respect because he is a selfish person, or a scheming rat or a leech or a heartbreaker, you get the picture...We don't like certain people and it is natural to show this dislike in unique ways. If there not with us, there against us. So wouldn't it make sense, if we are already worshiping demons unconsciously, acting in "dark"(earthly) ways, to focus our energy on Satan? Maybe not Satan as a entity, but as the personal energy (Kundalini, the serpent sleeping in our Root Chakras) inside of us? The energy to realize our full potential, to strengthen us, to rise above mediocracy, above the sheep? Why wouldn't we want to thive as our own? If we direct our focus to the source, wouldn't we thrive and become even more powerful than ever. Powerfull as in mentally, emotionally, phiscally, spiritualy, all with responsiblity of course. There is no evil only the way of the mundane, and too be honset im thinking that I'd rather be a leader than a blind sheep in the mold of the world. Someone who knows what's going on, what people want. Someone with an extraordinary sense of intellect. Unconditional love and bliss is a pleasant thought in my mind and I wish the world were filled with both but, it's just not how the world works. So with this said, does "dark", earthly energy from fulfilling desires(sins) help you or should we lead a life in pursuit of GOD and risk being in mediocrity, unfulfillment, and total ignorance of our potential? Also let me know what you guys think about the whole Satan/Kundalini energy theory. Thanks

Field training slots. I'm only a senior in hs but I'm doing some research. I found that after first two years of afrotc, you must compete for a spot for field training. I know the air give is downsizing and stuff. What does it take to get a spot? For example, if I major in electrical engineering and a gpa of 3.0. Is that good enough?

I want to watch a few horror films tonight and please name some that are not commonly know because I have seen hundreds of them.I like films like hills have eyes wrong turn things like were friends go camping somewhere and theirs killers,inbreds etc I also like films like my bloody Valentine,Paranormal activity and anything scary.Please don't mention films that are too popular because I probably seen them.

If I joined the Marine Corps, would my utilities, food, and room and board be taken out of my pay?

The research I have done says that if I joined the Marine Corps as an office after four years in an ROTC program, that I would get about $2,000 a month as pay, and that that would be my total profit per month. But, my mother says that if I was in the military, that everything from my bed to my food would be taken out of that $2,000, and I would end up with only about $1,000 per month. Also as a side though, I heard you dont have to pay tax's while in the military, is that true?

Have you ever travelled on Amtrak and what is it like?

I don't love my girlfriend anymore (complicated)?

Our relationship hasnt been going that long only about 4 months and I already feel its getting old and time to break up. She is a really nice girl and should be perfect for me but i feel that shes more like my best friend than my girlfriend but she absolutely adores and loves me. Im nice to her and I listen to everything she says and I even take care of her when shes feeling ill (quite often) but I really dont want to bee in a relationship anymore. This time last year I was with another girl who was my first "serious" relationship, we where together about five months and i loved her with all my heart even though out relationship was long distance and not the best, when she dumped me I went into almost chronic depression for about 2 months but a week after she dumped me i got myself a rebound who i hated after a month and this made me sick of relationships... 5 months later I get with this "perfect" girl who I thought should be everything I ever wanted but she just copies everything I do and idolises me like a child would their parents, the worst part is shes 2 years older than me. I know i should love this girl any way but I cant. everything she does annoys me and she tries to live up to the lifestyle I want to live but my lifes become boring and mundane as she wants to see me every waking hour god gives. If I dump her shell be so hurt but if we continue then our lives will just become worthless and trashy. Im 16 and were already acting like old hermits in a retirement home. Shes a lovely girl but she has no real friends and im all shes got and dumping her would take away everything she has and im afraid there will be noone there to help her if i do. we have loads in common but she always gets annoyed when I say anything about her being feminine or girly so she really makes me uncomfortable. Id love her as a best friend but I cant take this monotony anymore. plus I still havnt got over that one girl that broke my heart.. or i could just man up and stop wallowing in my sorrows haha but seriously I need help on this, I care about her feelings i really do but this relationship is pointless. please help.
