How can I convince my parents to let me join the army reserves when I'm seventeen?

Hey! :) I'm sixteen years old, and I am 100% sure that I'm joining the Army in the (hopefully near) future. Here's my plan: Join the Reserves when I turn seventeen (end of May), and stay in the reserves throughout college. In college, I'm going to be in army ROTC. When I get out, I will switch to active duty army to be an Air and Missile Defense Officer. :) I want to start my army career as soon as I can, which is at age seventeen, if I have parental consent. My parents hate the idea of me joining the Army because they don't think I can make enough money and they think I can't be successful and happy having a career in the army. How can my recruiter (who is also my cousin's husband) and I convince my parents to let me join when I'm seventeen years old? Thanks. :)
