How does Combat Engineer Officer.....?

Well I want to be an officer in the US Army and specifically a combat engineer officer. How do I go about doing this ROTC in college then basic leaders course then sapper school. Please help me and also as an officer will I be out on the field with my platoon I have been doing a ton of research but could only find really good info on enlisted combat engineers not combat engineer officers. Please give the step by step process on what to do. Thank you
