What would happen to society if everyone was educated above Degree level?

Those who were educated to the lowest levels would have to do the menial jobs, just in the same way that people with basic education have to do menial jobs in countries where education is compulsory. Two hundred years ago someone might have wondered what would happen in relation to such things if everybody could read and write.
